Commercial purse seine landings of Trachurus novaezelandiae from the Bay of Plenty purse seine fishery were sampled from length and age throughout the 2019–20 and 2020–21 fishing years. Catch curve total mortality estimates derived from the resulting age distributions suggest that levels of fishing mortality were sustainable in the areas fished. Age-length and length-weight parameter estimates are also provided by this report; these should be used instead of existing estimates for this species.
This study applied a Bayesian length-based stock assessment model to pāua (Haliotis iris) in quota management area PAU 2. The model used only model-derived inputs, with almost identical conclusions between a single and multi-area assessments. The base case suggested stock levels near 50% of unfished biomass, with slow declines over recent decades. Projections for both models suggested little change from current stock status over the next three years and into the future at current catch levels.

This report presents a Bayesian length-based stock assessment for pāua (Haliotis iris) in quota management area PAU 5A. The assessment was run as a single and multi-area assessment over small research strata, with almost identical conclusions. The base case suggested stock levels near 50% of unfished biomass, with slow declines over recent decades. Projections for both models suggested little change from current stock status over the next three years and into the future at current catch levels.
This is the sampling plan for the Food Residues Survey Programme from July 2022 to June 2023 for plant products. It covers selected foods that are available to the New Zealand consumers during that period.

The purpose of this document is to describe the MPI process for approving and/or recognising Dairy Maintenance Compounds (DMC). The register of approved and recognised DMCs is maintained by MPI and accessible on the MPI food safety website
A stock assessment was developed for GUR 7 integrating annual catches and Kaharoa WCSI trawl survey biomass indices and associated length and age compositions. The assessment model estimated that stock abundance increased considerably from 2010 following higher levels of recruitment during 2008–2019. For all model options, current (2021) stock status was estimated to be at about the equilibrium, unexploited biomass level (i.e., SB0). A range of potential management procedures were evaluated.
